Last week, the extraordinary artist and designer, Resa, posted her response to my Dead of Winter Creativity Challenge. I was amazed by all the thought and detail she put into her post. Please click the link at the bottom of the page to see her entire post.

Teagan from Teagan’s Books has been publishing a serial, “Dead of Winter”. It’s a series of journeys (12 so far). She issued a challenge. THE CHALLENGE “Create something using Emlyn’s world as portrayed in Dead of Winter: Journey 1, Forlorn Peak, as your inspiration. Not a story with my characters, but anything else you please.” […]

Good to hear that there are those who enjoy knitting, crocheting and sewing. I have enjoyed all three in my past days, even sewed professionally for a dance studio. All three are enjoyable and challenging and when finished are useful and beautiful. Each design even tells its own story! !

I agree about the designs telling stories, Ms. Frances. I used to sew everything, but I never got the hang of crochet. As to knitting — I was a disaster. LOL. It makes me admire Resa’s work that much more. Heartfelt thanks for reading and commenting. Hugs on the wing!

Wow! I never tried to knit, but Resa’s instructions are so concise, I think I might could do it!

Ha! I’ve tried and failed… and failed… and failed. But I agree that Resa gave great instructions. Maybe I should try again, LOL. I really loved her response to the challenge. Stay safe and well. Hugs.

Very clever and helpful. I’m impressed with the effort required to do this and the drawing is gorgeous.

Yes, I was very impressed, Pat. I can barely crochet a chain, and I can’t knit at all — and that wasn’t for lack of trying. Thanks for visiting. Hugs on the wing!

My sewing skills max out at seeing a button back on
Used to do counted cross stitch when my eyes and fingers were younger
Hugs flapping your way.
