I’m Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene and I am an author of fantasy fiction. This blog began in 2012, as part of my “grand experiment” in indie publishing. I post about writing and related topics. Of course, I also feature my “three things” style of spontaneously written serial stories, which are driven by random “things” from readers.
As an indie author, I share and promote the books of others, as well as my own. My published works are epic fantasy, urban fantasy, and mysteries touched with magic. Most are set in other eras, probably because I never really felt at home in my own time. You can find my books at my Amazon Author Page.
Usually, I write in the fantasy genre, but I also write 1920s mysteries, Steampunk and various other punks. Animal characters often play important parts in my stories. However, one of my current projects is a non-fiction collection of writer resources.
My writing is colored by experiences of my early life in the southern states and later in the southwest, as well as a decade of my career in Washington, DC. Major influences include Roger Zelazny, Agatha Christie, Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Robert Jordan, and Charlaine Harris.
Though I wasn’t born there, I was enchanted by the desert southwest of the USA the first time I moved there. Then work took me to Washintgon, D. C. for a decade. However, I have finally returned to those enchanting lands to live in a high desert town.
My blog is my sanctuary. It’s a place for readers to relax and enjoy themselves in a place free of stressful talk about politics or religion. I hope you’ll visit frequently. Hugs on the wing!
