Weekend Woolgathering

Daphne
Hi, everyone.  I couldn’t get my head in blog mode.  Daphne tried to help.

Daphne discovered that the steps (storage box) would open.
She looked for a blog post, but she couldn’t find one either.

And… that’s all folks. Friendly comments are warmly encouraged. Hugs! 🤗

Of course, I have to include the obligatory shameless self-promotion.  This time I dusted off the video trailer I made.  It will tell you more about the story.

    1. So true, Barbara! LOL. A little while ago, I tried making a square frame/outline with duct tape on the floor — which supposedly lures the cat to sit in the “box.” I’ve seen videos doing that. However, I did it in the middle of nap time. We’ll see if they have any interest in it. Have a terrific weekend. Hugs. ❤

  1. I know what you mean. Sometimes the well runs dry. I must get Dot and Lia to help me but they seem more interested in snuggling under the covers these days. Sigh. Love to you and the Scoobies. xo

    1. Hi, Darlene. Dot and Lia are right — it’s the time of year for snuggling under the covers — and for soup! 🙂
Yeah… it is a kind of apathy, but that’s also my way of dealing with waves of depression (just when I think they’re gone for good, another wave) that started when I lost several books-in-progress to the OneDrive backup system eating up my computer. I just haven’t been able to completely shake it off. I desperately want to write (or finish) another novel. Anyhow, I’m still working on it. Love, hugs, and purrs back. 🐱 🐱

  2. Happy weekend Teagan!

It’s great Daphne was helping out, and what a smart kitty. She found a secret hiding place. Tell her Misch found one, too. It’s behind the art in the den closet.

    Sending big hugs!!!

    1. Applesauce! I don’t know how you managed to find that hiding place, Resa. For several months, Daphne has had a secret hideout that I have yet to locate. She eventually just appears, sitting there looking at me. Maybe it’s in another dimension… Big hugs back to you and Norm and Misch.

    1. Yes, unfortunately it is, Noelle. It’s my least favorite part. It’s hard to get past one’s upbringing, and if it even looked like I was about to say something good about myself I got into trouble. The Scoobies always rescue me whenever I need a blog post. 🐱 Have a lovely weekend. Hugs to you and the kitty crew.

  3. Good effort from Daphne. I’m not feeling inspired either, so I know the feeling. Thanks for reminding us of another one of your wonderful stories, dear Teagan. Big hugs to you and love to the Scoobies!

  4. I love that Daphne is trying to help support the yummy human who brings in the food.

I know you know, but I love The Alchemist and the Woman in Trousers. Cornelis Drebbel is my hero and I enjoyed reading the serial and the book!

We never had steps, but our cats made use of everything in the room. MuMu would climb on me, then my computer to get to her shelf. Everything in the world was part of that girl’s staircase.

    1. Thanks for taking time out to visit, Dan. I know you have a lot going on today. LOL, that’s such a smile-worthy thought of MuMu climbing on you. I know you miss her. She was your writing companion. I got a couple of those stairs-boxes for Crystal. Naturally the Scoobies don’t need them, but they’re handy for storage, plus when Daphne and Velma get into senior-cathood they’ll already know how to use them. Have a fabulous day. Big hugs.

    1. She was quite pleased with herself, Robbie. 😸
Yes, I’m always wanting to do another 3-things style serial, but these days I just find the process (that is, the interactions) too triggering… And my main purpose with the serials was reader engagement. (Sigh…) However, I’m working on getting a few friends to email me “things.” I’m not confident that it will work though, especially not as something to blog. I partly mean it as something to help me shake off the depression that took root when I lost all those books-in-progress to the OneDrive backup system eating up my computer.
I hope you’re refreshed from your getaway. Big hugs. 🤗

        1. Thomas, you’ve made my week. I live for sharing my stories, so it pleases me endlessly when someone enjoys them. Reviews are authors’ life-blood so that will be greatly appreciated. Even a few words about one thing you liked is enough to be a great review. When you get a chance.

These are two very different stories though. Even so, I think you’ll get a kick out of Cornelis. I had a second adventure in mind for him. I outlined it, and dang-it if I didn’t see a movie that had just come out that had the very same outline, point by point. Even little details. That was the second time that particular kind of lightning struck me. Anyhow that is one of many unfinished novels that I haven’t given up on finishing. Have a splendid weekend.
