Raccoons paint Teagan Resa Mural-2 by Teagan via Night Cafe
I imagined myself to Toronto to meet up with Resa. My hair didn’t make the trip so well… Then a couple of raccoon graffiti artists made a mural of us.

Relax everyone. Next week I’ll go back to my usual amount of blog posts.  I appreciate how much time you’ve spent with me these past two weeks.  Today I begin with a one-card reading.  I’ve borrowed “The Trash Panda Tarot” (not in my little collection) because the artwork is mostly raccoons. The deck by Jennifer Starling Dukehart playfully reinterprets traditional tarot symbolism through the lens of mischievous raccoons and other dumpster-raiding animals.  The card for our reading today is The Empress.

In the Trash Panda deck, The Empress card teaches the lesson of messy, scrappy abundance — that growth doesn’t happen in sterile conditions. It suggests that this is the time to lean into your own environment, enjoy sensory pleasures (like your favorite snack), and practice unconditional self-love.  The Empress invites you to tend to what truly matters—whether that’s your loved ones, a new project, or your physical home space.

Following the suggestion of The Empress, here’s a little “new project” from me.  You’ve arrived (virtually) in Toronto, Canada where my Night Cafe raccoon models are giving a fashion show in honor of multi-talented costume designer/illustrator and photographer of street art, Resa McConaghy.  She made me part of her raccoons post at one of her two blogs, “Graffiti Lux Art & More.”  I’m doing a companion post to go with it.

Months ago, when I did a Flower of the Month post that included this (above) raccoon dressed in an elaborate Victorian gown, I didn’t know just how big of a thing Toronto has for raccoons.  During the time since that post, I’ve shared several raccoon images with Resa.  She made an entire jazzy raccoon story with them combined with murals of raccoons that she had photographed.

As a counterpart to Resa’s post, I decided to shine the spotlight on her incredible Art Gowns where she creates “sustainable glamor” with her extraordinary Art Gowns.  Her designs repurpose fabrics that might otherwise end up in a landfill.

With each of my images, I’ve included a link to Resa’s original gown where you can see it from several different views.  Some of my images came closer to the original gown than others…   Remember to click the blue links for the real gowns. There are multiple views of each stunning gown.

Every fashion show has a soundtrack, so here’s one from YouTube:

Now that we have mood music, let’s begin.  The models are ready to scamper down the catwalk — erm… or raccoon-walk?  Our first model, Dumpster Kitty, wears her version of Resa’s Mademoiselle Emily.

Singing our fashion show to a close, Trash Panda wears Midnight Nightingale.

Resa kindly featured my new novelette, A Peril in Unseen Frequencies at her post.  Give yourself a treat and click over to her blog for all those delightful raccoons.  Come on — you know those smiles will do you good.  Click that big link below and visit with us at Resa’s blog, and see her groovy story.

I’ll see you at Resa’s blog!  Hugs.

Here’s the obligatory shameless self-promotion

Although it’s a twisty mystery, it’s also a quick read.  As I usually do, I included a section about technology and cultural items that are mentioned in the story. Thanks for visiting.   Friendly comments are welcome.  You’re the cat’s pajamas! Hugs!
