Hello, all. You’re an inspired group, and you inspire others, including me. That inner oomph doesn’t always come easily. Keeping it can be even more difficult. So today I’m giving a collection of simple things for each day of the coming week. You can use them in any number of ways as a “personal power” boost, meditations, writing prompts, or inspiration for any sort of creativity that brightens your day. Bookmark this post and come back to it each day for your daily dose.
Sunday

Animal: Monkey
Number: 2
Creativity Prompt: What happened when you made a wish that monkeys would be protected?
Monday

Tuesday

Creativity Prompt: A kangaroo comes to your door, saying you’ve invited him. He barges in and makes himself at home. Then what happens next?
Wednesday

Gemstone: Amethyst
Flower: Lotus
Animal: Horse

Creativity Prompt: You are a member of the most powerful royal family in the world. On your eighteenth birthday, you learn the family secret – Instead of being gifted a dragon, you turn into one.
Thursday

Gemstone: Lapis Lazuli
Flower: Rose

Friday

Gemstone: Rose Quartz
Flower: Zennia
Animal: Rabbit

Creativity Prompt: You meet the perfect romantic partner. They are considerate, cheerful, and perfectly normal… except for one thing – they don’t remember anything about their past. After a few days, you see their face on a missing persons poster. What happens next?
Saturday

Color: Indigo
Gemstone: Turquoise
Flower: Lily
Animal: Ox

Creativity Prompt: There is an electrical storm. Your computer is plugged in and charging, so you rush to unplug it. Just as you pull the plug from the wall, you receive a strong electric shock that knocks you unconscious. When you come to, you realize that you now have a superpower. What is it? What problems does it cause you?
I hope you can get some sort of quirky inspiration from all this. Friendly comments are welcome. Thanks for visiting. Hugs!

This is such a fun post, Teagan. Your Tuesday prompt reminded me of Gandalf and how me descended on poor Mr Baggins.

Thank you, Teagan!
This is a fun post for the week.
My super power would be stopping all war and world hunger, forever.
The drawback would be once I used it, I wouldn’t be needed any more.
Oh well, There’s always art!

This is fun, Teagan. As for that kangaroo, I’m pretty sure my wife would feed it and give it a nice place to sleep.

Hi, Dan. I’m happy that you enjoyed it.
So, the kangaroo is brought inside and fed. She makes a bed for it in the garage/shop. Then in the middle of the night, you wake to the sound of your power tools being used out there. And then…
😀 Sorry — I couldn’t resist. You don’t have to answer that. Hugs.

Teagan, what a brilliant and imaginative collection! I love how you blend colour, symbol, and story into something that sparks curiosity and joy. I especially love how you connect personal power to creativity itself. Writing, reflection, and meditation all meet at that same crossroads of awareness. You’ve given us not just prompts but pathways, small golden threads to weave through our week. Sending many hugs on speedy wings to you and the Scoobies!!!!

Thanks, Rebecca. I wanted to share more than just writing prompts, because so many day-to-day things we do can go better with a little inspiration. Each day of the week has various things associated with it. Yes, those things can vary depending on who you ask and where… But I thought it would be fun to collect A week of them. Hugs winging back to you. 🐈 💖 🐈

Great prompts, Teagan. Reminded me of the old (800s) poem: Monday’s child is fair of face, Tuesday’s child is full of grace, Wednesday’s child is full of woe and so on. What a lovely creation of the little child and the chimp sharing ice cream!

Thanks, Noelle. I was trying for an image of the chimp giving his ice cream to the boy who had dropped his. After many tries I settled for that one. It at least had the right vibe. Hugs.

Your Sunday prompt made me think about the stories of Monkey King. That was an unexpected destination for my whirring mind.

Oh! That’s wonderful, Mandy. The Monkey King is such a great story. I realize there have been several movies, but I’ve only seen two and both were TV versions. First was a mini-series from 2001, “The Monkey King (aka The Lost Empire)” staring Thomas Gibson. Then in 2018 a Netflix series that I thought was a great take on the story, “The New Legends of Monkey.”

Teagan, great prompts here. I loved the stately tea setting on Tuesday. So serene and dignified. As for Saturday, I know the Minions follow evil leaders but they may be in for a little more mayhem than they are used to with that guy. Hugs for a great weekend.

Hi, Bruce. I’m happy you enjoyed this. Haha! You may be right about the minions, Bruce. I made one that I liked better, of a Super Bull with chicken followers. Although it was hard to tell why the chickens were in the picture, so I used the yellow minions. Hugs.

These prompts are genius, Teagan. This post was fascinating from the perspective of how deep your creative mind is able to go into a story. Each one of these prompts could expand into a full blown novel. You are amazing. Hugs
