Hello everyone. As you know, I usually limit my blog to two posts per week.  However, this week I’m making an exception.  Many of you know Robbie Cheadle (Roberta Eaton Cheadle).  So, you likely know that her son Michael had surgery this week.

In weeks before that, Robbie had been working on a holiday story, and planning the publication for mid-November.   She had also asked if I could work on a book cover for the story.  I had stopped promoting my Designed & Ready Book Covers, because of my PTSD issues.  However, Robbie and I seem to get on the same wavelength regarding images, so I happily agreed.

Today, when I saw that she had announced the publication, I bought a copy and put it on my Kindle right away.  Then I took the liberty of spreading the news.  You can read what Robbie has to say about her semi-autobiographical story by clicking this linkIn her post, she also provides an update on Michael and a poem along with information about (purchase link) The Christmas Bird Please click over and show your support.

The Christmas Bird

Blurb

The Deanne family is having a difficult time financially. Mr. Deanne’s business has failed and there is no money for Christmas presents and other luxuries. The family’s undernourished dogs discover a bird’s nest on Christmas Day and attack and kill the chicks. All except one tiny ball of fluff with luminous bright eyes like drops of oil. The baby bird is in shock, but the four Deanne girls try to save it. Will the Christmas Bird survive?

Meanwhile, I haven’t managed to get much done, particularly in writing. I’m still working through the things that “went sideways” a week ago.  This post might end up serving as my weekend post.  So, in case I don’t see you then, I’ll wish you a happy weekend now.  Hugs on the wing.

  1. Praying for Michael’s full recovery! Love the cover! Beautiful bird. Birds, to me are such a wonderful subject at Christmas time. Thankful that it seems Michael is getting stronger and better. Wonderful news! ! !

  2. I love the cover as well, and it seems things are progressing well for Michael. Hoping his recovery is smooth and not too hard this time. Happy weekend as well, just in case, and I hope things move in the right direction for you. ♥

    1. Thanks, Olga. I appreciate that. I’m finally starting to feel more like myself after the adrenaline exhaustion that resulted from the “sideways” stuff. Still a good deal of physical back ache-causing work to be done.
I’m sure Robbie appreciates your kind words for her and Michael. I cringe just thinking about what he’s had done.
Stay safe and well, my friend. Hugs on the wing.

        1. Thanks, Robbie. My back problem is worsened by anxiety, so with my “stuff” it’s chronic… Anyhow this episode stems from a 4-hour panic attack, which was triggered by something that broke in the house, the things I did physically during those hours, and the adrenaline exhaustion that followed. I hope to be able to do some more work today, toward putting the room (where the repair is needed) into at least a semblance of order. Onward…
