Hello, my chuckaboos. Thanks for coming to the river. The Delta Pearl has paused for a moment of silence for this Memorial Day weekend.
Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. It became the unofficial beginning of summer fun, and I’m fine with that. The people who sacrificed and died for us would want us to be happy and enjoy those freedoms. Even so, it is also a time for reflection. Given the relentless surges of extreme violence in this country, mindful reflection is certainly in order.
The steampunk riverboat will return.
