Welcome to my sanctuary.  I didn’t have a real post for today, because I’m struggling to keep up — as usual.  However, I wanted to share a positive thought, and send you a “good vibe.”  This is known as the “Metta Prayer” or meditation. No one seems to know who first wrote it, and there are multiple versions out there.  You are encouraged to reword it, if that makes it more to your liking.

Wishing you an easy coast down the other side of this midweek hump.  Hugs on the wing!

This is a work of fiction.  Characters, names, places, and incidents are either the product of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, business establishments, locales, or events is entirely coincidental.

  1. I think this post is so perfect for any day of the week, any time of the year. It’s great “lift me up” for whenever it’s needed. It’s a beautiful post, thank you for sharing!

  2. I LOVE your video, Teagan – profound and refreshing. My sister, Sarah, introduced me to this type of mediation, which I have incorporated into my daily experience. Mindfulness is essential, especially in a world that demands our highest participation. My word for 2019 was “resilience.” This year, I have chosen “reconciliation” which has been a great focus for me in a time of great uncertainty. Thank you for sharing your insights – you gave a joyful lift to my day.

    1. Thank you kindly Dan. You’re so right. Although I actually have the opposite problem. That’s why my therapist wanted me to learn the metta meditation. I’m supposed to begin with just the first part, directing it to someone I care about. And gradually get used to the concept of the “I” part and learning to have some compassion for myself. Making the video helped, and it makes it easier for me to focus on it, while I watch the video.
Congrats on finishing the shed project! That’s awesome. Hugs on the wing!
