Hello, all.  With the image I made last week, were you able to imagine any positive, happy, or amazing things?  I understand some of you were not.  Let’s try again today with a different style of image.

Imagination Prompt

The image at the top of the page shows a woman gazing hopefully up at an ancient tree.  You might write about it, blog it, cook something inspired by it, draw it, dance it, or any other way you express your creative imagination.  Or you could simply open your mind and imagine something splendiferous.  Your prompt is:

You came upon an ancient tree that could give you great knowledge.  And then…

Or imagine this instead…

A person has amnesia. They come upon the tree, which can return the knowledge of one single thing about them. What do they choose?

Now, imagine something wondrous!

Thank you for sharing what you imagined. Keep thinking wondrous thoughts.

  1. Thanks for the lovely picture.
Jennie comes everyday to be with Nature and she feels so beautiful to come all alone to be with herself and she can talk to her Beloved God who is there with her. The early morning sun brings joy and love to her and she can feel the rays of the sunlight entering her whole body. She embraces the wonderful tree that is there from years just taking her in and softly and humbly caring for her divine soul. Jennie is totally lost in peace and happiness. The clouds too are whispering soft musical notes to her. She loves to be in this wonderful environment for hours together and all her fears and worries just fall apart and Jennie feels rejuvenated and one with herself and God. She is all smiles and laughter and talks so much to all of them. After an hour or so she returns back home.

  2. Thank you, Teagan. The image brought back a beautiful memory of my late wife, Barb and a wonderful California trip for the bicentennial. There was an ancient tree

  3. Fabulous video on the Journeys. I fell in love with it all over again. The girl’s rainbow skirt was made to swirl and act like either a sail for breezing off to places unknown or a parachute to land safely when/as needed. We all need such a garment.

  4. If I was suffering from amnesia, I easily would ask for the total recall of my life with Mrs. B. That knowledge would provide all the answers I needed to navigate the rest of my days, Teagan. And thanks to John, I now have to get said Mrs. B to put creamy chicken and gnocchi on the menu for next week lol.🍽️

  5. Love the prompt! I just read a book (wish I could remember the name of it! Maybe I’ll ask the tree to help me remember the names and authors of books!) and the people in this book could remember almost nothing about the past, just vague feelings. The main characters were an elderly couple who doted on each other, but wanted to remember all their past love. When they got their memories back, it wasn’t quite as they’d expected. Maybe I’d ask the tree to help me remember all the times my late husband irritated me or hurt my feelings.

  6. If I could only be given one thing to remember, I would want it to be my family. Last night I dreamt about my dear father who we lost 18 years ago and it made me feel so happy. Tonight my dear son helped me with a technical issue all the way from Canada. My family is so important to me, I couldn’t bear not to remember them. I love that image! xo

  7. I loved your tree prompt and the question of what would a person ask the one thing to be returned if they had amnesia? I think the ask would be to remember the love that had for another person. No matter what we lose in our minds that most tragic would be the feeling of love. A;so you inspired me to make creamy chicken and gnocchi for dinner. What does that have to do with the reinstatement of love you may ask? I just remembered how much I love it. 😍

  8. It is a gorgeous image, Teagan, and very hopeful. I wonder… I guess if it was me and I’d forgotten everything, I’d ask the tree to know about the people I felt connected with and I had spent happy times with, perhaps… Intriguing and much to think about, Teagan, and very inspiring. Thanks for another beautiful prompt. Take care, big hugs, and love to the Scoobies! ♥

  9. Here you go Teagan. I had fun with this one 😁

The sun drew shadows on the trees gnarled limbs. Tiphaine stopped in front of the tree. “Dear Ancient One, how are you this morning?” “I wish to know if Genoveva is alright” She was to travel here today from Espagnol” Tiphaine felt the trees positive aura.
She stood back as the clouds retreated further from the sun. A strong breeze sent Tiphaine her answer from among the branches and the rustling leaves.
Knowing she would need these soon, Tiphaine picked a small bouquet of wildflowers from under the Ancient One.

        1. Admittedly, I wondered, but I didn’t read anything into it. Thanks for the clue. I’m flattered. GeneviVe is so close in spelling to GeneviEne that even Amazon won’t do an author search for my name without repeatedly changing it. A punctuation mark has to be added before hitting enter. No wonder my books aren’t found… Wishing you a splendiferous new week. 😎
