Welcome, everyone. As we shift from January to February, I thought it would be nice if we could just relax together, quietly for a moment. Maybe we can share a warm, cozy beverage — whatever you like. The magic teapot has coffee, hot chocolate, Irish coffee, mulled wine, or anything else you want.

I’ve invited a lovely couple in honor of this being the last Caturday of the month. In a fun side note, I made this image earlier this week for a Night Cafe Daily Challenge, this one being “No Theme Thursday.” It gave me a big smile that it was voted (by other entrants) in the top 20% of 6,035 entries.

These cats are quite elegant and will only enhance our relaxed mood. For this moment we can float in a bubble of detachment, safe from the outside world, as we sip our warm drink and enjoy one another’s company. Just us, the cozy room, soft comfortable furniture, and the quiet. …And we breathe.

Coffee. That’s exactly what I’m drinking right now. Cheers, and have a wonderful weekend, Teagan. ☕️☕️

It is definitely a coffee day here, Edward. 😳 With full caffeine too! But I’ve just finished my February floriography post, so I might give myself permission to be lazy this weekend.
Thanks for spending your coffee break here. Cheers back to you — and hugs. ☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

A lazy weekend sounds perfect. Tomorrow is going to be a bit hectic, but I think Sunday will be a lazy day in the Ortiz household.

Thanks, Teri. It’s fun to write image prompts according to the challenges. Plus, I get “credits” for each one entered, which build up enough that I haven’t had to go to the paid version. Thanks for stopping for a cup of hot chocolate. That Ghirardelli Premium Hot Cocoa mix makes a nice cup. 🙂 Hugs.

Happy February, Teagan!
I know it’s Monday, but I will still have a Caturday tea this afternoon, relax, and think of you!
Big hugs for a short month!

Thanks, Resa. LOL, I’m all for doing a repeat Caturday to replace Monday. I’m desperately seeking energy today. 🙂 Happy February to you too. Hugs winging back to you.

Yes, energy… it will come back slowly now.
I’m quite tired myself, short days of productivity. ❦🕊

I’m feeling the effects of pushing through my back pain to try and get some basic chores done, pushing too hard. And a lot of panic attacks, both of which use a lot of adrenaline. I just thought I would perk up by now. Anyhow, here’s to both of us getting rested, replenished, and recharged. 🤗

That sounds wonderful, Pat. I’ve only had high tea one time and that was way back in Albuquerque (before DC). The tearoom was in an old adobe building. The whole experience was delightful. Hugs.

Sounds wonderful. I have been to a few including the Empress Hotel in Victoria back in the 1970s.

It looks like there was a truckload of spam with your tea… Sorry about that. My spam folder has been overwhelming for a few months now. It’s hard to spot the comments that accidentally get stuck in it. Thanks for taking a break here. Hugs.

I do enjoy spam sandwiches while drinking tea. Maybe that’s it.

I hope so, because you were in spam again… Although, a slice of crisply browned spam isn’t bad. I’m sure it’s on a tea menu somewhere in Hawaii.

Irish coffee sounds awfully good right now – it’s cold here – although I’d probably fall asleep! Let us hope February brings many happy memories!

Haha. Yes, caffeine and sugar (either/or) will zap alcohol into the system faster and seemingly stronger too. Thanks for dropping by, Jan. Stay safe and warm. Hugs.

We are on the same wave length. It is so cold here that any hot beverage is wonderful and as for cats, we both love our cats. They add to much to our world. But if mine had opposable thumbs, I’d be in for a whole world of problems!

Haha, ya know! The older they get, the smarter they get, and Daphne (at 3 1/2) already eyes doorknobs with an intensity that tells me she’s figured out how they work, “If only I had thumbs,” she seems to say. I had a gray tabby who was dangerously smart at figuring out things. Anyhow, hugs and purrs.

Daphne is indeed smart. Years ago we had a beloved black and white cat that was super smart. He could open doors and had a distinctive vocabulary for what he wanted!

I like the kitties in costume! When I was a kid one of my favorite little books had pictures of cats wearing clothes and doing human kind of things. And when we had our cats (and dogs) I always made costumes for them to wear for Halloween (just long enough to take their picture = and they didn’t mind at all) So , I do like your imagined scene and the lovely magic teapot. Happy Saturday! ❤

It is a lovely image, dear Teagan, and I’m not surprised it was so well received. I’m not a big drinker of hot drinks, but I’m sure I’d enjoy one there. Have a lovely weekend, big hugs, and love to Daphne and Velma. ♥

Thanks very much, Olga. Admittedly during hot months I can’t deal with hot drinks (except a morning cup of coffee). But they can be so comforting that on some hot days, I’m tempted to crank up the air conditioner so I can enjoy one. LOL. Hugs winging back to you. 🤗

This is beautiful, Teagan. Congratulations on being recognized by your peers on this effort. We had one male cat that might have served tea to the right female.
Saying goodbye to January isn’t going to be very hard. Today is the coldest day that we’ve had this year. It’s early, but I might ask that magic teapot for a splash of Irish Coffee.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Dan, I’m gobsmacked to hear that today is even colder than what you’ve been having. Good golly Miss Molly! That’s purely awful. I hope that at least there wasn’t more snow. A wonderful weekend to you too. Big hugs.

It looks like the storm that’s heading toward us is going to stay over the ocean. Maybe it heard how cold it is here and decided not to visit. That’s OK with me.
