Does that title sound cranky? I don’t care. I’m ready to “resign.” WordPress has destroyed my (constantly adapting) way of creating posts one time too many. After many hours of trying since I encountered their latest debacle of an “improvement” yesterday, I’m going to do my best to give you something pleasant to look at, but… WordPress killed all the positivity I mustered up for the post I wanted to create. So here’s my hypocritical attempt at blowing sunshine up the collective posterior of the world.
Imagine Something Wondrous

As we walk into our utopia city, dozens of happy people are headed the same way. Within the city, beyond sparkling, colorful buildings, are peaceful open parks where people gather. They are comfortable with one another. Their discussions are cheerful. Everyone shows kindness and they all look after one another. Love is the song they sing, because they know that fear is the way we die.
Relaxed Gatherings

Some groups sit having lively discussions. Other groups just sing. Like the video below of the Youngbloods performing “Get Together.”

One of my favorite imaginary places to gather with friends is Atonement, Tennessee. It’s an ordinary if quirky small town… except for having a lot of supernatural people living quietly among the normal population. With that, here’s the obligatory shameless self-promotion.
Everybody get together and try to love one another right now. Friendly comments are welcome. Thanks for visiting. Hugs!

That sounds like a great place to live Teagan. May it come to pass.
My WP posting creation was kind of strange this morning, mostly in the way it looked, but it worked basically the same. You have every right to be upset–I used to complain to the “happiness engineers” but I gave up. They keep fixing what isn’t broken until it actually is…(K)

Sorry about your problems with WP – Atonement sounds like the place to be right now.

I’ve always liked that Youngbloods song. I really miss the peace and love vibe in the air when I was in high school.

I understand how frustrating it must be, Teagan, because I know you do a lot of hard work to create your wonderful posts, and once you’ve found the perfect way to do it, WordPress goes and messes it up. I ended up using the blocks by default, after trying to hold onto Classic for quite a while, but, mine are so simple that I just about manage (although sometimes it still manages to make complicated even my simple posts).
I agree that the place you’ve created with your images is beautiful, and I hope there were many like those around. But I am sure we’ll meet at Atonement. Tenessee, because it’s also one of my favourite places to spend time, and I’d love to visit it in real life.
Sending you positive vibes, and hoping that the rest of the weekend is peaceful and enjoyable. Big hugs and love to the Scoobies. ♥

Classic Editor is so yesterday. Using blocks is so easy. I know it’s hard to change and it takes a while to get use to creating in blocks.
WP told us years ago that they were getting rid of classic and the complaints made them keep it but they don’t support it with any enthusiasm.
I would be happy to help because I don’t want to lose you and you wonderful posts Teagan 🥰

That’s really kind of you, Brian. I can see how the Blocks are good for posts that are heavy on photos. I’ve used the blocks sometimes, but they don’t work well for the way I prefer to format my posts. I do a lot of formatting to get look I want. Plus I usually divide a post into several parts, which makes the blocks a pain, and when it comes to editing, they’re even worse. I spend multiple hours on each post, so I started making templates to help. Now I can’t use any of them, at least not effectively.
But I enjoy, and need the community here, so despite threatening to resign, 🙄 😒 I’ll keep going. I need to scale back my posts though… Thanks for your encouragement. I do appreciate it. Hugs. 🙏

Looks like you are cleverer than I am Teagan. I am just a photo hack that sometimes write poems 😂

Groan… I hope it didn’t sound like I was discounting photography posts. I certainly didn’t mean to. I was an editor/writer for decades, so I edit the heck out of my posts… I apologize.

WordPress frustrates me to no end when the Happiness Engineers pretend to not understand what is going on. Every time I have asked for help I didn’t get any. After a series of questions on the same level as “Is your computer plugged in.” they usually drop me with an unresolved issue. Your utopia cities look great and I love the concept, Teagan. Hugs

I love Atonement TN and hope it’s enjoying better weather than the real state is predicted to receive. Freezing cold in adjacent North Carolina.❄️❄️❄️

I just wish there was a peaceful world like you create in this place. And that song goes very well with the scenes. 🙂

Thanks, Barbara — so do I. Making the images helps me imagine such a world. And we have to be able to imagine it to create it. 🙂 Hugs.

It’s one of my favorite songs from that era, Darlene. “For What It’s Worth” is tied with it, for me anyway. Thanks for spending part of your day here. Hugs.

I hadn’t noticed any changes by WordPress, Teagan. It’s a very pretty and joyous post. Thank you 🙏

They’ve tampered with the Classic Editor again. At least for whatever gateway or setup I have. They keep making it harder and much more time consuming to do a post… It’s become a huge effort for very little result. Now, I’m only here for the wonderful community. Thanks for visiting, Robbie. Hugs.
