It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since I published this story. Fiona’s tale is certainly on the lighter, brighter end of the steampunk spectrum. Two young eccentrics, Fiona and her brother Steele find an old Valentine and get caught up in seeing it delivered to the intended person. Here’s a review from Teri Polen, that she posted five years ago. Thank you, Teri. REVIEW HERE.
Below is a trailer I made for the story.
I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Friendly comments are encouraged. Hugs!

It’s good to see you, Kevin. I use and create various types of images. Some are collages or composites that I make from a number of different images. Some are made by artists and photographers, whom I credit. Others, like the one of Fiona in the lead image are done with me supplying a detailed description, then selecting styles and filters and then rendered by a computer generated app. Since there is a good deal of input from me (and often a ton of trial and error), I credit them with “Teagan via ___” (whichever app I used).
While I never use AI applications for writing, the computer generated/assisted images provide a way for a person of modest means to illustrate blog posts (and in the past, before mandates from Amazon against such illustrations inside books). Otherwise making publications attractive (and so read by more people) go back to being the province of the wealthy.
LOL, short answer, yes. I hope you’re having a good week. Hugs.

It’s good to see you, Edward. Thanks very much. I know what you mean. Winter was supposed to be my reprieve (from getting things done that I physically can’t do)… and here it’s already gone. I’m still wondering what happened to November. Haha. Hugs.

Thanks very much Robbie. I’ve tried so many times to give Fiona another story. Unfortunately, she became too tied to my memories of Rob. We became close friends before he disappeared, and I haven’t been able to write one. Maybe one day. I hope the appointment for your dad went well today. Big hugs.

I’m sorry to hear that, Teagan. No good news yesterday. I’ll share more when I’m ready. It’s all very hard.

James Taylor always cheers me up. Another great trailer, too. Happy Valentine’s Day Teagan! (K)

Thanks, Kerfe. There’s just something about James Taylor’s voice… comforting and comfortable, easy, and at least a little cheerful even when the song is not all together happy (like Fire and Rain). Hugs.

I ADORE Fiona Finch & the Pink Valentine!
It was the first or second of your books I read. It is delightful.
For sure it’s a perfect Valentine!
Five years, wow. That slipped by. Thanks for the lovely JT song, Teagan!

Hi Resa. I’m sorry — I was thinking I had answered your comment, but I didn’t. Yes, those years sure slipped away. LOL, I should have used Paul Simon’s song Slip Sliding Away! Big hugs.

I used to love wearing boots. Happy weekend to you too. Hugs.

I still wear boots a lot. They just have lower heels than the ones I wore when I was younger. 😊 My favorites these days are booties, and riding boots.

Ha! I hear you about the heels. I like booties and shooties too. It’s funny… when I moved across the country from DC to NM, I donated 4/5ths of all my possessions, including clothes, and ALL of my furniture. But I couldn’t part with my boots (except for a few pairs that were painful to wear). Yet it’s so hot here that I’ve never worn them. I should have given up my boots instead of my books! I guess I have them for a couple of weeks a year — if I would climb a ladder to the shelf where I put them. LOL.

Thanks, Tim — especially about the trailer. Night Cafe gave me 2 great images of the text I gave it. I liked the other one better, but there was some AI weirdness with one of her hands… Hugs.

Love that pink outfit! I missed Fiona’s tale so I will look it up and read! I think I wasn’t yet tuned into you five years ago. Time flies!
Have a great weekend and keep sending out these blogs that are feasts for the eyes.

You are so kind, Noelle. I couldn’t get this one to look the way I wanted at all.
Come to think of it, I guess that was before we were blog-acquainted. The story is a quick, slightly corny read. I hope you have fun with it. Big hugs.

A great reminder for Valentine’s Day, Teagan. I love the phrase “simmer down.” Cools the blood immediately. James Taylor is a favorite and your trailer is terrific.
