Welcome to another double-duty post. This is about lawn work, classic rock and roll, and of course, whatnot!
Let’s be honest. My yard, front or back, looks awful. Today I thought maybe I could just imagine seeing something fun out there. So let’s set the tone with some music from Credence Clearwater Revival. (I’m sorry if you can’t see the video. It’s CCR singing “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.”)
CCR is also going to carry us through this fantasy. The narrative is the lyrics by John Fogerty. So please don’t compliment me on my poetry, because it is not mine.
Looking Out My Back Door
Lyrics by John Fogerty
Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I’m singin’
Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ out my back door
There’s a giant doin’ cartwheels, a statue wearin’ high heels
Look at all the happy creatures dancin’ on the lawn
Dinosaur Victrola, listenin’ to Buck Owens
Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ out my back door
Tambourines and elephants are playin’ in the band
Won’t you take a ride on the flyin’ spoon? Dood-n-doo-doo
Wonderous apparition provided by magician
Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ out my back door
Tambourines and elephants are playin’ in the band
Won’t you take a ride on the flyin’ spoon? Dood-n-doo-doo
Bother me tomorrow, today I’ll buy no sorrows
Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ out my back door

Like I said, lyrics by John Fogerty. Thanks to all of you for opening this door. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Hugs!

Obligatory shameless self-promotion
Of course, here’s the obligatory shameless self-promotion. This wildly imagined novella is strange enough to go in a post dedicated to The Twilight Zone. Hop aboard TROLLEY for an adventure unlike any other.

You always make me smile and your images are wonderful. Sorry you’ve been in pain. I’ve just now gotten round to listening to that Clapton video. Where do the days go? Thank you so much!

I often ask myself that question, Jo. Sometimes I think I must be on a slower time-stream than the rest of the world. 🙂 I’m delighted to give you a smile. Thanks for opening this door. Hugs.

This is a lovely and nice poetic Thursday Doors post. If your front and back yard is not in good shape you should look out for YouTubers who do all the cleaning and renovation work for free. All they ask in return is that they can shoot the entire process. Sarah watches a lot of those videos. The CGI images are amazing as always.

I’ve seen two of those guys on Youtube over the years. They are angels. It definitely would be nice to encounter someone like that. So would winning the lottery, and the odds are probably better.
Thanks about the post. Hugs.

I was out spraying weeds earlier today. And it’s a losing battle, lol. Love the elephant!

New Mexico always has a lot of wind in spring, but this year, it’s more constant than ever. I haven’t been able to spray them, so they are even worse. I’ve reached the point where my back never stops hurting. And, yes, I’d love some cheese with this whine. LOL, it’s lunchtime anyway.
That’s why I had to have a little silliness in this post. I’m glad you enjoyed the elephant, Teri. 😀 There was also one with an electric guitar which was even better, but he didn’t go with the song. Have a good weekend. Hugs.

Thanks very much, Resa. It’s such a happy song. I’m glad you enjoyed the images. I was happy with how the watercolor effect turned out. It seemed to fit the laid-back vibe I wanted the post to have. Big hugs winging back to you.

Oh Teagan!
I’m fine!
You are so thoughtful. Yes, I haven’t posted on my street art blog for a bit because I did a book review/interview post on my Art Gowns blog.
I’m a slow reader and a slow blogger. That’s why I have 2 blogs. (LOL)

I’m horribly slow with both, Resa. You’re so consistent though, that I had to check. 🙂
Thanks for including the link to your wonderful post. Hugs.

Please… no worries. I loved seeing all your sketches. Diana is lucky. I would have been honored beyond words. I know that was a ton of work. Even just the interview posts I’ve been doing are exhausting. Get plenty of rest. ❤

I’m happy you enjoyed it, Jan. Mine has never been quite so bad before. I can’t find anyone to do the work, and it’s much, much more than my back can take. As my elderly neighbor across the alley said, “You can’t find anybody who wants to work, and when you do, they expect you to buy them a new truck.” (Meaning the beyond excessive prices.) Hugs.

Thanks Colleen. I generated 53 images to get those 6 that came “close enough” to what I had in mind. The Playground site cut me off at that point, saying I had gone past my limit. LOL. Have a good rest of the week. Hugs.

I’ve been playing with Copilot on Bing. I get close, but not exact. Here’s a site that has worked well for me: https://perchance.org/ai-photo-generator. ❤️

Chris referred me to Perchance also. It was cool, but not a favorite. I haven’t heard of Copilot. I should check it out.

Yes. It’s not bad, but not as close as Perchance. I use copilot for rephrasing. It’s free and you have to pay for Pro-writing aid. LOL!

Dave, the app first gave me a rockin’ elephant playing electric guitar. It was the most fun, but didn’t fit the song. I’m looking forward to your next Pink Floyd post. Hugs.
