Dead of Winter Doors — Lucetius

Lucetius is a supernatural character. Throughout much of the story he is “fractured,” unstable. He is able to transform into a variety of creatures. He was born with the ability to traverse the Realm of the Dead in a much more advanced way than Emlyn’s abilities allow. (Although, she’s just getting started.)

For a thousand years, Lucetius had mourned his lost lover, Tesni. Even in death she wasn’t safe from Arawn.

So, within the ghostly realm, he created a room inside a palace, where Tesni could be safe from the nightwalker.

There is much more about Lucetius in the books. Learn what his future holds in the final Journey. Thanks for taking this tour of “Dead of Winter” doors with me. The final Journey is now available.

These images really enhanced my memories of the stories and characters. I’m still looking forward to reading the last two books, but not finishing them.

You are so kind, JoAnna — thank you. I think you’ll like how the conclusion of Dead of Winter plays out. There will be lots to keep your imagination going after you read “the end.” Have a lovely rest of the week. Hugs on the wing.

I just started listening to the first novelette (Alexa is reading it to me) finally, so I’m just getting to know Emlyn.

Oh cool! I hope you’re loving it. I was surprised by how well Alexa did with some of the names. This first one as A LOT shorter than the others. Big hugs.

A book launch involves posts about a book being circulated and shared at multiple blogs. So no launch.
Thanks for visiting.

Thank you for the video, it brings everything quickly to mind! I enjoyed all the details, it brought everything close together. By the way, I could “ramble on” but suffice it to say, your story and your talent are beyond question! I like the white dog that appears occasionally!

Thanks very much, Ms. Frances. It’s lovely to see you today.
I do enjoy adding animal characters to my stories. The next novel will have a hawk and a lynx. 🐱 Hugs on the wing.

Fabulous post, Teagan!
Great images, and a tasty slice of story to go with them.
I’ve been having browser issues for 5 days, and have finally switched from Firefox to Chrome.
I’m a bit behind with blogging because of that. I’m in Art Gowns right now. I’ll log out and into GLAM tomorrow, from where I will reblog your finishing of “Dead of Winter”. {{hugs}}}

Thanks, Kerfe. The background image I used really is unusual. I’m not sure if it was a real place or something that was created to have that look. Thanks for opening this door. Hugs on the wing.

This is a great way to combine your wonderful series and Thursday Doors. Your images bring the story closer to life in my mind, although your descriptions in the Journeys do a very good job of that. Lucetius isn’t my favorite character, but he’s a good one to feature. I enjoyed Dead of Winter very much, and I’m glad your keeping the conversation alive.

Thanks very much, Dan. Although the first image feels right for the building, I see Luce as… well, just not muscular. I admit the others are not as I imagine Tesni’s room in the story, but free images have limits, LOL. I appreciate your encouragement about this post. Thanks for spending time here today. Hugs on the wing.

He was a fascinating character, Teagan. His and Tesni’s story could have been a book all by themselves. Well done. Great images and perfect for a door post. Promote away, my friend. After all that work, it’s well deserved. 🙂

Thank you kindly, Diana. I’m delighted you like Luce. Although I’m no good with romance, especially the tragic kind. So hinting about it as backstory is about as much as I do. Zasha and Tajin might get their origin novelette someday, but that one is more adventure than romance.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend ahead. Big hugs.

Another great couple with a strong romantic undercurrent. That would be a wonderful novelette and adventure is just fine. Happy Weekend to you too, my friend.
