The NaNoWriMo folks have posted the 25 randomly drawn pitches. Neither of mine were drawn, but you can read the pitches that will be judged here: http://www.thebookdoctors.com/2013-nanowrimo-pitchapalooza. It also allows you to vote for your “fan favorite.”

So about “random” selection. Does that mean they didn’t picked anything based on actually reading it and rating everyone’s work? Did they put the names in a jar and pulled out each selection?

It is two parts – first a random drawing of 25. Then they judge those 25. As for how they randomly selected, I’ve no idea. It would’ve been nice if they included some details about their process.
