Downward view Daphne cat

Daphne:  Yummy Human, doesn’t all this seem awfully…. random?

Yes, Daphne.  That’s what makes it a “Whatnot Wednesday” post.

Daphne:  I get that, but this is a whole lot of random… Why don’t you brush me instead.  I promise not to give you any love bites.  (Not many anyhow.  You’re yummy, so I sort of have to.)   Oh, alright, if you insist.  What’s first?

First, we say hello to everyone.

Welcome to Whatnot Wednesday, everyone.  Daphne is right — it’s a lot of random, so let’s dive right into the post.

Imagine Something Wondrous, Prompt 1 Follow-Up

Glass Tower waterfall airship in Light by Teagan via Night Cafe

This weekend, I offered the above image as something to encourage you to imagine wondrous things.  You can read the marvels that came to mind for several people in the comments on that post: click here.   Feel free to add your wondrous vision in a comment on that post — there’s no time limit.

To further fire your imagination, I gave the suggestion, “What’s inside?”  However, I did not include my own ponderation, because I was afraid that would either prevent people from commenting, or influence their imagination.  To be fair, I did play my own game, and here is what I first imagined.  Here’s what I envisioned inside.

The tower is even taller than it appears, because it is also very broad. Several levels house veritable rainforests from which medicines and cures are made and then provided freely and readily to all the population.  Additionally, the tower houses facilities for water purification — and free water (since my water bill has more than doubled in the past 18 months [even though I’ve decreased my usage, and for 3/4ths of the year my water bill is more than my electric bill] I really like this idea).  The tower also uses the massive waterfalls to harness hydro-electric power not only for its own use, but for the vast region.  The glass structure is a form of solar collectors, adding to the power supply that is freely provided to everyone.

CFFC Photo

Daphne many rings

Velma:  Hold on, Yummy Human.  Don’t tell me you’re going to add Dan Antion‘s “Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge.”  This post is already full of whatnots.

But Velma, that’s what makes it work. The challenge is “Full or Empty, or Both.”  Today we have a veritable cornucopia of whatnots — including the photo I took of the overflowing Cornucopia card that turned up in the oracle reading below!

Velma:  Hmmm… Yummy, that’s quite a stretch a stretch.

Daphne:  You said full or empty, right?  Look at that empty basket.  It’s just right for our rings… but it’s empty, so we need more rings.

Scoobies, the rings are right there beside the basket…

Velma CLOSEUP rings

Velma:  Yep, that’s empty alright.  Why is it so small?  We need a basket big enough for thousands of rings.

Daphne:  And it should be a nice velvet lined one too, because some of those rings are heirlooms from cats of yore.

Daphne rings fish

Daphne:  No velvet, but it’s nice to have the rings separated from the other toys. There’s a couple hundred more rings stashed around the house and under the ‘fridge.  The basket would be plenty full if we herded them all together.

Energy Oracle

Velma:  I saw that first card.  I don’t think I want to see the rest of them.  What do you mean, “Don’t take it so literally”?  That looks like the thing that took Dorothy to Oz!  Oh, hang on, Yummy Human… does this mean we can go to Oz?  Pack up the toys and vitamin treats, and let’s go to Oz!

Yes, I did a 3-card reading for today through the rest of the week.  And yes, these are the cards as I drew them.  Remember, it is not my intention to predict with readings, because the future is in constant flux.  Rather, this is a means to help counteract stress.  Each card is something to meditate upon and gain insight from a new perspective.

Energy Oracle for 01-07-26

Yes, I know how to count to three.  On the final card, two fell out together.  Seriously, they fell out of the stack and into my hand.  I knew I had to use both.

What is unknown about the current situation?

Card:  Storm Warning

There is an issue, a potential problem (emotional or in the physical world) of which you’ve felt rumblings now and then.  Something you dismiss, without paying much attention.  It doesn’t have a big impact, but if it shows up at the wrong time, it could go from inconvenient to disruptive.  Storms also brew in the world around us.  If you’re making broader plans, then have contingencies or backups, just in case.

What are the obstacles?

Energy Oracle Cornucopia card

Card:  Cornucopia

With “storms on the horizon” it is difficult to be positive.  The Cornucopia card represents wishes being fulfilled.  However, when the world seems to be drowning in a sea of bad things, it’s easy to forget that something good can actually happen.  Remember — remember there can be good in your life.  Sandra Anne Taylor, who created these oracle cards, included an affirmation with the Cornucopia card:

The Universe is abundant. All that I desire comes to me in just the right time and way.
I am blessed.

How to proceed for best results?

Energy Oracle Man Coin Woman Coin

Cards:  Man Holding Coin/Woman Holding Coin

As I was saying, when I moved to draw the third card, two fell out of the stack.  I took that as a hint from the universe and used both.  However, the two cards have similar meanings, one representing a woman and the other a man.  While both cards seem to carry a financial meaning, they can also signify health or love.  Which feels right to your situation?  Whatever the nature of your initial question, the answer to, “How to proceed for best results?” is to be more aware of your choices and remember what is really important.

If you are pulled more to the woman card, some harmful influence from a woman in your past might be influencing you during this situation.  So, be aware that you don’t have to let anyone else’s negativity influence you now.

Alternatively, if the man card pulls your attention, the card might be a nudge to further a particular goal.  Both cards encourage you to be open to the recommendations of a trusted advisor, or perhaps a new expert who comes into your life.

But wait, there’s the obligatory shameless self-promotion… The book cover that is most “full” came to mind.

  1. I like what you saw inside your building. They do not build those kinds of tall glass buildings around here, unfortunately.
And the Scoobies always make me smile!
Storms can clean things up or clear things out–that’s the way I would look at it. (K)

  2. Teagan, I love the freedom you’ve given imagination here, not only in the image itself, but in the way you’ve resisted shaping or steering what others might see. That kind of restraint is generous. It leaves room for wonder to arise on its own terms. Thank you for creating a space where curiosity, humour, and reflection can coexist. And for reminding us that imagination can be a form of care in uncertain times. Sending hugs on speedy wings to you and the Scoobies!!

  3. Fascinating cards and their readings. And the Scoobies are so predictable – rings and an empty container. I’m surprised one of them didn’t try to squeeze into it. Garfield sends his greetings – he is currently squashing into a tiny house on Samantha’s cat tree!

  4. Anything that helps us stay positive is a good thing. Thanks for all the wonderful wahtnots. Nothing seems to pleas cats more than a container full of things, unless it’s the empty container. Great choice for CFFC.

  5. I enjoyed this cornucopia, Teagan. Daphne and Velma have to love those rings. I can just imagine them all over the house and in some out of the way places. Your cards give reasons to contemplate but on the whole seem positive. Was fun to visit. Hugs

    1. I’m happy you enjoyed visiting with us, John. Haha, cats are so funny about toys. They lost interest in the rings for a year, and now suddenly they are the favorite again. When I sorted out those from all the other toys, I felt sure these are only a fraction of the ones I’ve given them– not to mention the ones from “cats of yore.” Hugs winging back to you. 💖

    1. Thanks, Kymber. We’re very happy that you could visit today. I have to agree about the awesomeness of the Scoobies. I was awake nearly all night with a digestive problem, and Daphne watched over me, purring, for several hours. (They don’t choose to sleep with me.) Cats are wondrous beings. Hugs.

  6. A great mix, Teagan, Daphne and Velma! I love your interpretation of your prompt. It would be lovely to have a place like that. Well, it would be great if everybody had access to a place like that. I hope the rings have a nice home… And the cards are gorgeous. I love the cat in the woman with the coin card, although it gives one pause. Thanks for the positive message and for sharing those cards. I must get a set soon.

Big hugs and take care. ♥

    1. Thanks, Olga. LOL, yes the rings are sorted into the small basket now. Although I’m sure there are at least 50 more hiding under various things around the house. I’m happy you enjoyed the oracle cards. Hugs winging back to you. 🤗
