Amazon No 1 New Release The Armadillo Files

How should I say this…?  Tell everybody, but just don’t tell the ending!

Announcing…

The Armadillo Files

It’s comic, cosmic, colorful, captivatingly calamitous, campy, and charmingly cray-cray!

Many of you are not around for the weekends, when I post my serial stories.  So, I didn’t wait until Saturday to make this announcement.  Besides… I couldn’t wait!

The conclusion of my latest “Three Things” style, spontaneously written blog serial, The Armadillo Files, will not air until this weekend.  However, I’ve just finished “bookizing” it.  The Kindle and paperback will be available at an introductory price for the next few days.

I made one change to the original story. My blog serials are directed at adult readers, even when they’re full-on whimsy (like this one). In bookizing the story, I decided it would have good appeal for younger readers as well. So, I made the protagonist, Dilly, younger.  Rather than a mature scientist, she is an intern.

With Dilly’s age change in mind, I also created new illustrations for the books.  Please note that the images in the paperback are black and white.  My image collages for the e-book are in full vivid color.

Here’s the Blurb

“The Armadillo Files” is a time-travel fantasy adventure.  It’s also freewheeling, whimsical, campy, zany fun.  Dilly Faraday, a serious young intern in a 1959 NASA program, goes looking for her missing pet, an armadillo of the pink fairy species.  However, Fang is no ordinary armadillo.  He’s also uninhibited, unpredictable, and outrageous.  They are both accidentally launched into space, and that’s only the beginning!

Hang onto your rocket because you’ll travel back in time to the 1940s and the Manhattan Project’s Secret City, and the Great Railroad Strike of the 1870s, and more.  Along the way, you’ll meet shape shifting covert operatives, the artificial intelligence called TROLLEY, feline time-space pilots, Ali Baba, and the Time Manatees.  Get aboard TROLLEY and join the fun.

    1. You are so kind, Ms. Frances. I appreciate all your encouragement and support. We’ll have one more outing with Fang and Dilly this weekend.
Yes, it does feel good to know I’ve completed something. I still have several unfinished novels, so it’s hard for me to remind myself that there are things that I really am finishing. Have a wonderful week. Hugs on the wing.

    1. Thank you, Kamal. We have one more outing with Fang and Dilly this weekend. But I decided to go ahead and show the book now. I like to “bookize” the serials, for the readers — so they can have the entire story in one place. Have a brilliant week. Hugs on the wing.

  2. It’s a Dilly of a story that you can really get your Fang into and you’ll immediately be in the pink of a fabulous fairy tail like fantasy with time travel, versions of old stories that you can not imagine, with a bit of history thrown into keep it even more interesting. Congratulatory hugs applauding your way.

  3. Teagan, I’ve been waiting for the book as I missed reading a lot of the episodes. And I loved Dilly and the story. I ordered the paperback and will get it this week. I know the images are not in color, but I actually like black and white to see the contrasts better. I’m making up for lost reading time on Dead of Winter, on Journey 5 now. The concept of the story is amazing. I eagerly await the next adventure Emlyn gets into. She has gifts that seem to keep her safe in risky situations. Congratulations on the new book. Where is your creative mind taking you next? Hugs, my friend, 📚Christine

    1. Dear Christine, thank you. Journey 5, oh with all the ghosts! I hope you love that one. It’s unique in the series because of all the ghostly shorts at the beginning. I felt a little uncertain about doing that, but when I finished editing, I was glad that I did.
Next? The dictionary of Victorian and Steam Era slang is almost done. I’m in the proofreading stage. Then to New Year’s Eve, 1969 for The Guitar Mancer! 😀 There’s always more than one next thing with me. Shine on, moon child. Hugs on the wing!

    1. Thank you, Dan. Some serials are easier to bookize than others. At first I thought this one would be difficult, because the episodes are so short. Once I figured out the way I wanted to format and divide things, it came together quickly. I’m happy that you’ve enjoyed this one. Hugs on the wing.
