Hello, everyone.  It’s hard to believe that July is almost gone.  Where does the time go?  This is only a quick post.  I’m trying not to freak out, with “Dead of Winter: Journey 8, The Lost Library” and the new blog serial — which I hope to launch this Saturday, competing for my attention… along with other things.  However, I decided to do a quick cover reveal post.

Then I realized that I hadn’t even done a cover for Journey 8.  Horsefeathers!  I usually do the cover very early on, because it helps inspire me.  I don’t know where my head has been.  Anyhow this weekend I got started on it.  I managed to capture a few of the elements of the August issue.  Due to the content, it also seemed appropriate to have the characters with their backs turned.

    1. It’s good to see you, Toni. I couldn’t find the Library of the Deae Matres as it appears in my mind, but Tintern Abbey came close. At least it felt right. Plus the general look was similar enough to the other covers that it fit with the series. I appreciate you visiting. Big hug!

      1. True story….I have been on Journey 3 since March. I finished it before leaving that comment and right afterwards down loaded Journey 4. I holed up this afternoon and have completed Journey 4 and will be downloading journey 5 shortly!! Love your writing!!! have a great week and I applaud all that you go through…it’s worth it as a reader!!

        1. Kirt, you gave me a huge smile. I hope you love Journey 5. It’s a little different from the rest, beginning with a series of short vignettes about the ghosts. It was a way of showing an overview of Emlyn’s wider world. Heartfelt thanks for being part of the Journeys. 🙂

    1. It’s lovely to see you any time, Michael. Thanks for reading and commenting.
Ha… my week has not been productive enough. I won’t be starting the new serial this weekend after all. But the next it will start — I promise. 🙂 Hugs winging back to you.

    1. Haha, you and me both, Teri. It seems like only yesterday that I made the decision to make this epic into an editing project and publish monthly. I’m glad I did it this way though. The prospect of editing about 850 pages was too overwhelming. It’s some extra work to revise things so that it fits and flows for a serial/series. But I’m happy with it this way. Hugs on the wing!

  2. I watched Robbie’s review. Really great, Teagan.
The cover reveal is fab. You really make wonderful book covers.

I’m experiencing some oddity on WP. Even though my comment appears to be from GLAM, & if you click on “Resa” it will take you to GLAM. Yet, I am logged out of GLAM. I’ve been logging out for 2 days.
However, I am actually on Art Gowns, having just done a new post there.
You will notice the Gravatar Icon in the “Likes” is from Art Gowns.

It seems I am in 2 places at once.
Have you ever seen something like this?

    1. WordPress has endless oddness, Resa. I only keep one blog. I can’t imagine the exponential troubles and gremlins with more. But my phone or my ereader, I can’t comment on or like most blogs using them — yet there are a few that I can. Like I said, endless oddness… I’m sorry you’re having problems with it. I do know how frustrating it is though.
Heartfelt thanks about the cover. Hugs on the wing.

  3. Great cover. Hope this does not portend more trouble for the Lady in Green–she has enough issues without a split personality to deal with. I’ve been waiting for this particular Journey for a while now.

    1. You’re right — Boabhan has enough to deal with. That’s not her on the cover.
🙂 I hope it lives up to expectation. Just remember the titles represent locations in the overall journey. It probably won’t seem very library-ish to you. Hugs on the wing!

    1. It’s great to see you, Arnav. I hope your week is going well.
Thanks about the cover. Yes, it has several hints, even the color of the sky. I realize you have not been with the “Journeys”. However, there is one cover element that I really thought people who have read most of the novelettes would pick up on. We’ll see if anyone catches it. Stay safe and well. Hugs on the wing!

      1. A thoughtful author always tries to hint its readers with the cover. Yeah, I am not following the Journeys. Got my exams last week, so I was kinda off the grid. I hope I find something profound in the cover, will let you know😀

  4. Lovely cover for Journey 8, Teagan, and I totally forgot that you’re also making covers for sale! I don’t know how you doing it all. I’m working on one story, just one, and that feels like enough. Take care of yourself. Hugs.

    1. I haven’t taken time to promote the e-book cover service in several months, Diana. As with most things, the majority of people don’t read the statements and assume I’m offering more than I intend for those prices. But making images is therapeutic for me. Plus I love seeing authors get their books out there.
I get almost manic about the need to write more and accomplish more. Horsefeathers… if not for the menopausal lack of energy and finite numbers of hours in the day — I might be able to take over the world! LOL. “What are we doing tonight, Brain?” “The same thing we do every night, Pinky. tonight we take over the world!”
      Hugs winging back to you.

    1. Thanks so much, Dan. I know what you mean. It seems like only yesterday that I made the decision to take that epic off the “shelf” and serialize it. I’m way behind. I really hope to catch up. Even though I don’t have a promised deadline, there is one in my head. Stay safe and well. Big hugs.

    1. I’m happy you like the cover, Robbie. It has several little hints. I hope you love the sixth Journey. It includes Boabhan’s origin story.
Yeah… I put all those “pots on the fire” and now I’m woefully behind. And still the urge to add more. I have a hunch that you know how that is! 😉 Take care of yourself. Hugs on the wing.

    1. Bwahahaha! My diabolical plan must be working… Seriously though, Geoff, with the Designed & Ready e-book covers I try to have elements that give me multiple ideas — so that they are likely to fit stories writers already have in mind. LOL, if they prompt all new stories, then all the better. I can’t help thinking of the trouble those three would get into. 😀
      Hugs on the wing.
