Happy Holidays from Thistledown

Wishing you and yours all the blessings of the holiday season.

Welcome to my sanctuary. I hope I can give you a moment of peaceful relaxation.  Regardless of what we intend, this time of year usually gets stressful.  For many it can be a painfully sad time.

You’re welcome here, to take a moment away from it all.  Drift down a magical river, in a shimmering swan-boat. The music is the sound of the oars gently slipping into the water, and the birds chirping as they deliver messages from one faery to another.  The scent on the warm breeze is the aroma of pies coming from the chimneys in Peaches Dragonfly’s kitchen. Lean back on the downy cushions, and let the gentle sway of the swan-boat lull you to sleep.  Awake refreshed.  Have a beautiful holiday week.  I’ll see you soon, on a different river, on a different magical boat — The Delta Pearl.

Thanks to Mary J. McCoy-Dressel for hosting another Thistledown Faery Profile — this one is Calico Rainbowforest.

Whatever holiday you celebrate, I thank you for spending some time here.

Do you think you’re too old for a tale about faeries?  This one also has a bit of a dark side.

Here’s the Book Blurb

Thistledown ― Midsummer Bedlam, by Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene is a wildly whimsical tale of faeries. It was originally written for a grownup audience, but it is suitable for children ages eight and over.

Thistledown is a world of color and light.  It has faeries, hummingbirds, and ancient books of magic.  Bedlam Thunder is a misfit faery who is afraid of heights.  She is also a seer who has terrible visions of a parallel world devoid of color and brightness.  The hate and darkness of that colorless world is seeping into Thistledown.  Will Bedlam and her friends be able to save their home?

Thistledown ― Midsummer Bedlam, with its radiant creatures and faeries will lift your imagination to new heights.

    1. Thank you Tim. I wish I had thought of it in time to include with Mary’s Thistledown post. She loves cowboys. Thank goodness for kitties. Santa brought me a head cold this morning, and Crystal is trying to take good care of me. Or maybe it’s just the lure of the electric throw blanket… 😉 LOL. Merry Christmas & Catmas hugs!
