Jazz Age Wednesdays — Prepare to Launch

Thursday, September 12, 2019

Update!

My book launch for A Ghost in the Kitchen, will be a magical trolley, touring haunted Savannah, Georgia!

The trolley will visit various haunted sites and “pick up” participants along the way.  At the end of the line, “Granny Phanny” will show everyone her library (your books and/or post links).

To be part of this haunted, Roaring Twenties tour, all I ask is that you either host me — or reblog my launch post.  Plus let me know which blog post or book I may feature for you in my tour.

Please leave a comment with the requested information. (If you volunteered yesterday, I have kept your information.)

Hi, I’m Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene.  Welcome to Jazz Age Wednesdays!

As you might have guessed last week, when I did cover reveals for two Roaring Twenties books, I will be doing at least one book launch soon.  I’m aiming for October.  A few of you took a moment to reblog my cover reveal, and I really appreciate it.  You’re pos-i-lutely the berries!

Preparing to Launch!

If you were around here last year, you know that I don’t do a normal book launch.  The Party Bus to launch Atonement in Bloom is proof.

Several of the stories about my flapper, Pip and her friends mention that her grandmother uses the local library.  So, this time, Granny Phanny will have a book fair as part of my launch.

What does that mean?  If you will host me for a “blog hop,” in return for your participation, I’ll include one of your books in my own launch.  If you don’t have a book, then I can promote your blog instead. If you don’t have a blog, then you can publicize your local library with a link.

I’m planning my launch for Saturday, September 21, 2019.  If you can lend a hand that day or any September day afterward that would be — well, it’d be the frog’s eyebrows!

So, if you can participate in my book launch, please let me know in a comment.

I love making book covers and promo images.  In case you missed it, here is the cover I created for the novel I’ll be launching soon.

    1. Teri, that would be fabulous! With Bad Moon Rising, I really didn’t think you’d have time. If anyone is busy, it’s you, my friend. I’ll send you an HTML (as soon as it’s done), but if you decide it’s easier to reblog that’s fine too. Great big hug!

    1. Hi Valentina, I’ve already prepared that part of the launch. But you are in it, along with one of your books. I couldn’t let the magic trolley leave without you. 🙂
Now I have to hurry with the final proofread/edits and get it all uploaded to Amazon,
      You’re the cat’s meow!

    1. This is great, Resa — everything I need. All you need to do is simply reblog my launch post. If you post it any day during September, I would be delighted.
I’ve already written you into the “haunted Savannah” story I’m building into the launch. Now I have your book cover. Perfect.

  1. I can’t believe I’m going to miss this. My book launch goes from 9/16-30th. Dad gummit!! Well, if you’d like an extension in October, I’m your gal. Just email me at askatechteacher at gmail dot com. Have a great one, Teagan!

    1. I’m grateful for that, Jacqui. Can you send me an image of your book cover, and I’ll include it in
the book fair at the end of my post.
Can you work with pasting the HTML file into WordPress? If not a reblog is good.
Good luck with your launch! Hugs.

    1. Hi Marje. That would be wonderful! If you can do 09/21, 09/22, 09/28, or 09/29 any of those would be fine with me.
Do you work with HTML files, or would you rather reblog?
Please let me know which of your books I can feature too.
      You’re the berries!

    1. That’s wonderful Robbie. If you don’t mind, it would be good to spread out the posts a little. Just let me know what day after the 21st you could do it.
Also, do you plan to reblog, or would you like an HTML file to post at one of your sites?
Next, please let me know which of your books you’d like featured.
      You’re the oyster’s earrings!

        1. That’s pos-i-lutely orchid, Robbie! Either day is fine with me. I’ll send the file once I’m finished. With all the links, I expect to be working on it for several days to come. The magic trolley will pick you up at a haunted location in Savannah. At the end of the “tour” your book will be featured in Granny Phanny’s library. Thanks so much. You’re the kitten’s ankles!

  2. Dear Teagan, I wish you oodles of roaring success on your creative and clever book launch. And sincere congratulations and smiles for your prolific publications. Let it fly, dear friend.

  3. Good to see you here again, Teagan! I won’t be able to be in Savannah for your launch. Feel free to mention my blog, though. I have some posts on the Sea Islands and Charleston, from both this year and years past. Savannah itself remains a goal.

    1. It’s good to see you too, Gary. The tour is all pretend. It’s a way for me to feature people who help me by sharing my launch post. I ask folks to either host me at their website or reblog my launch post. I’m planning that for September 21.
      Cheers.

  4. Well, I do have a book. However, not sure what a blog hop is, or if it works for me.
However, Delta Pearl is on my radar for promo on GLAM.
Let’s say, going forward from here!

    1. Hi Resa. The book launch is not for my serial, The Delta Pearl. It is for a 1920s novel, A Ghost in the Kitchen.
What I was asking was for volunteers to share my post when I launch the book. If you promise to share my “book launch” post, then I would promote something for you.
For anyone who wants to help me with the launch, I request a link to a post about their book so that I can add it to my post. And a link to the blog where they would share my post.
I will be doing similar to what I did last year here; https://teagansbooks.com/2018/10/20/book-launch-party-bus-atonement-book-fair/
      Hugs.

  5. Thank you for mentioning 9/11, Teagan! Please send me the needful information for your book launch. I will publish at issuu.com, scribd.com and instagram too. Hope this will be useful! Best wishes, Michael

Fascinating what humans thought about travelling to the moon, at the beginning of the 20th century. LoL

    1. That would be wonderful Michael! Thanks so much.
If I remember correctly, your sites don’t use HTML files, right?
If you want to just share the link to my launch post that would be great.
I’ve never found a public website for you. If you have one that you’d like me to feature, please send the link.
I appreciate all your support. You’re the cat’s pajamas. 🐱

      1. Hello Teagan, my blog is privatizised, because here we have some very angry lawyers. But i can post on issuu.com as pdf.
Here issuu.com/smde is my “website”, till i can open the blog. All reblogs are automatically sent to twitter, facebook and rss-Feedportals.

  6. You’re more than welcome to come back to the bar on the 21st or the 28th. If you’re in a teetotaling mood, I can plug you in (on your own) for Sunday the 22nd. In any case, I’m happy to help.

    1. Either would be fabulous, Dan. I guess I’ll ask you to choose which way would get the most views. And maybe the 28th to spread things out.
Is there a specific post you’d like me to feature. Or your local library? Email me and let me know what you’d like. You’re the cat’s whiskers!

  7. Very cool. Speaking of ghosts in the kitchen, we have ghosts in our kitchen. The cats can see them, we sometimes hear them, we sometimes smell them, and they often steal things, like knives from us.

  8. I’m sorry I can’t assist with this one. Hubby and I are leaving for Maine on the 20th and I won’t be back until the beginning of October. I will, however, be cheering you on. I’m sure you’ll have an awesome book launch!

And thank you for the reminder of what this day stands for. It’s a somber anniversary, but we must never forget.

  9. Awesome idea! You can count me in for the day in question or any other that suits you (I usually blog my reviews on Mondays and Tuesdays, so any other day is fine). Good luck!

    1. That’s terrific, Olga! Any day of the week works for me.
Please let me know which of your books you want me to feature.
If at all possible I ask that folks post (or reblog) before the end of September. I will email the information when I have it formatted. You’re the cat’s pajamas!
