Lulu on Atonement books
Rob Goldstein’s Lulu dances on my Atonement books

Teagan:  Lulu! What the Sam Hill are you doing here?  I’m trying to work on Atonement in Bloom.  You are not part of the “Atonement-verse.”

Lulu:  I figured you could use my help.  I mean, Lilith is the cat’s pajamas, but she’s snoozing.  You were supposed to finish that novel before spring ended.  I hate to break it to you, Sheba, but you’re about out of time.

Teagan:  Ha-ha… the cat is the cat’s pajamas.  If you don’t skedaddle back to Valentino’s train right now, I’ll sing Don’t Bring Lulu.  I know how you hate that.  How am I supposed to do anything else when you keep doing the Lindy Hop into my head?  Now scoot!

I’ve seen so many great books making their debuts already this month!  Silly me (after all this time) I thought Atonement in Bloom would be one of them.  Unfortunately it doesn’t seem likely. I’ve promised myself all year that I would publish Bloom this spring.  But the only one I’ve been kidding is myself.  The solstice is nearly here.

So, I decided to feature other new releases for this month — or at least the ones I know about.  I humbly apologize if I missed anyone. That seems unavoidable.  Let me know and I’ll do a follow-up.  In no particular order…

Sir Chocolate and the Sugar Crystal Caves Story and Cookbook.  Authors: Robbie and Michael Cheadle.  Blog:  Robbie’s Inspiration

Soul Swallowers. (Pre-order).  Author: D. Wallace Peach.  Blog: Myths of the Mirror

The Gemini Connection.  Author:  Teri Polen.  Blog:  Books and Such.

Cusp of Night Mae Clair

Extra InningsExtra Innings.  Author:  Don Massenzio.  Blog

Sweet and Sassy Weddings (boxed set).  Includes “Hold ‘Em” from author Jacquie Biggar.  Blog: It’s All About the Romance

The Contract coverThe Contract.  Authors: John W. Howell and Gwen M. Plano.  Blogs: Fiction Favorites.  http://www.gwenplano.com/

So many wonderful writers with brilliant books.

Happy reading!

I hope you’ll be at the station Wednesday to get aboard the diesel-punk train for Hullaba Lulu.  It’s my latest pantser serial, featuring illustrations by Rob Goldstein.

What the heck.  Let’s make it a party!

    1. Thanks so much, Natalie. It’s a quirky story, so it wasn’t easy to pick the music. But that melody makes me imagine tiny plants in the soul beginning to grow. So while it doesn’t bring the suspense, I felt a suitable sort of magic in it
      Huge hugs.

    1. That’s awesome, Jacqui! I dearly wish I read faster. I envy that ability.
There are several authors here in the comments (they’re fabulous, but didn’t have a book I knew about this month)… Olga, Christoph, Tina, Jan, Sally, Billy Ray, Andrea…
Or hop on the diesel-punk train for my current 1920s fantasy serial with artist Rob Goldstein. https://teagansbooks.com/2018/03/21/jazz-age-wednesdays-26-%E2%80%95-hullaba-lulu/
Thanks so much for visiting. Hugs!

  1. Thank you so much for including Cusp of Night. This was such a fun post, and I’m looking forward to catching up with Atonement. I’m torn between starting with that or Pip. Decisions, decision,LOL!

  2. A great post, Teagan! 😀 There are some brilliant releases this month and you’ve presented them all beautifully. All so tempting. The dance video was brilliant and I had a lot of fun seeing it! Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday! Hugs xx

    1. Hi Annika. Welcome to this little dance party!
You are so kind. I wish I’d had time to add descriptions and purchase links for all the books. And time to look harder for the ones I’ve undoubtedly left out…
Thanks for visiting with your warm words. Hugs right back!

    1. LOL. Lulu has that much in common with my other 20s heroine, Pip. Both of them like to pop in and nag me. Cornelis Drebel used to be that way too, but he’s more of a mischief maker than a nag. It’s kind of you to catch up, Jennie. I appreciate your time. Hugs on the wing!

  3. Teagan, you’re lifted up to tackle that last scene in Bloom, and come to the finish line! Great book recommendations and support for fellow authors. Lulu made me smile. Can see she’s energetic, so maybe she wanted to give you a spark of energy by her pushy presence! Sending hugs for a peaceful weekend. 📚 Christine

  4. I love the book trailer! It grabbed my attention. I can’t believe the audacity of Lulu to show up in the middle of your other project. 🙂 You were right to send her back to the train. And you are right about so many new book releases this month! Wowzer!!

    1. Hi Jan. I’ve doubtless missed including other books that came out since June started. I just can’t keep up…
I’m happy you liked my little video. I’m embarrassed to admit how long it’s been since I made that.
Lulu’s visit added a bit of whimsy, so I’m glad she popped up… and that she went back without a fight. LOL. Although… I do need her to come back so I can write Chapter 10! Yikes! Hey Lulu!
      Happy weekend hugs, my friend.

Whenever it comes out to greet us it was be wonderful, dear friend, no pressure, take your “wibbley wobbley timey wimey” time.
In the meantime, I’m off to read some delight-filled ARCs and am bookmarking this to read some more books soon. Thank you, you’re so kind to share this with us.
Hope this weekend brings you peace and some quality writing time, dearest Teagan!

  8. We all know it will be worth the wait, dear Teagan. And I must admit Lulu is pretty distracting! 😉 Thanks for featuring such great books! You’re the cat’s pajamas! Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks for the encouragement, Judith. I’m a slow writer too… and a slow reader. However, lack of time and energy is what’s in my way with Bloom. I’ve finished writing (except now for an extra scene that I want to do, due to a comment from an advance reader). I’m in my third round of edits. I usually spend weekends blogging, and hope to manage to write a chapter of Hullaba Lulu… and editing is for weeknights. Only lately I’ve had more work-work to do. Thanks for visiting. Mega hugs!

  9. Atonement inBloom will happen, Teagan, have faith. Working on Lulu might be just the thing to break up whatever’s holding you back. It’ll be amazing, just you wait and see ((hugs))
Thank you so much for sharing Sweet and Sassy Weddings with you readers!
