Bandits Hijack – Copper, the Alchemist, & the Woman in Trousers

Steam Locomotive Wheels

The steam locomotive to the Victorian Era was hijacked!

Dear reader, bandits attacked the steam engine and it is stranded in parts unknown.  All I can see is a dilapidated sign bearing the name Migraineville, USA…

train tracks spooky place

However, when they found the train was empty of fuel, with no sets of “3 things” to drive it, at least the bandits left.

So I’m wandering through the desolation of Migraineville, hoping to find my way back and get the locomotive on the right tracks to the Victoria Era in time to pick up all of you at the platform some time on Sunday, (East Coast USA time).

And yes, that’s me pretending to be Ann Margaret… the migraine has made me delusional.

  2. Teagan, Oh, No! I’m finally back and you’re off in Migraineville, USA. I’ll speak softly and turn the brightness down so you can rest. Maybe suggest a cup of tea and soft music? Ice pack? Please feel better! Huge hugs! Christine

      1. I’m hoping these vivid things will soothe away the migraine, Teagan! I have several lockets of hair from forebears (though not silver!), the meal is one I make for dinner parties and feel overly proud of myself when I do so 😀 and the drink is one of my chap’s favourites!

    1. At one point in time, I had them nearly constantly. Eventually I learned that i’m one of those people who don’t naturally produce enough melatonin. Taking it religiously cut out 90% of my migraines. Now when i get one it’s usually from a combination of stress and hormones. I’m better than i was during the night. But as I try to get more done, the headache comes back. Just trying not to push, you know. Great big hug.

  3. I hope the migraine improves and the bandits are stopped in their tracks by some hero (or heroine). We’ll be waiting for your episode. Take care. Ah, and three objects: a sextant, a silver vinaigrette (not sure it would help, but…) and a glass eye.

    1. You’re so kind. I should have seen this one coming — it’s tried to get a foothold all week. I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend.
What wonderful imaginative things, Olga. Thank you for the things and for taking a moment to comment. Mega hugs my friend. 🙂

  4. Hope you find your way out of Migraineville quickly. I found three things in the closet. A Victorian etched champagne glass, an astrolabe, and a recipe for yellow corn sweet cornbread. I need to clean these closets some day. Cyber hugs and well wishes.

    1. Hi Daniel. Thanks so much for catching up with the serial — and thank you for sending 3 things! It must be a delightful closet. 😀
As long as I keep things low key, I don’t get too far into the weeds of Migraineville. Thanks for the wishes. Mega hugs.

        1. … Actually, now that a couple of other people have left “things” I just might hold onto the ones you left, in hope of putting those champagne glasses to use in a finale. It’s hard to tell how close I am… Thank you again, Daniel.

  5. “Badges, to damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don’t need badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges…” In case you asked the migraine bandits to see their badges! You may be more familiar with the misquote from “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre”: “Badges? We don’t need no stinkin’ badges!” Train robbers and migraines both are real pains. I hope you get to feeling better.

    1. Ha! (Ouch…Laughter is the best medicine, but maybe laughing *that* loud isn’t a good idea just yet.) 😀
Thank you Tim. I’ll get there. Just need to de-stress, decompress, and de-whatever.

  6. Being held by the migraine bandits myself at times I understand completely and am sending you some get-rid-of-migraines-varmints thoughts right now, dear one.
I hope you feel better very soon.
Take care and we’ll be waiting at the station when you escape those nasty blackguards!!! Begone knaves!!! 🙂
Megahugs Teagan and get well soon. 🙂
